PadraigC I was a fan of the original OST and the film, so I was delighted when I came across this release and it did not disappoint. Like the other comments, you don't don't need to be familiar the original - this is in a class all of its own, very powerful and experimental release with hints of m.eastern musical elements. I love that cover photograph as well. Favorite track: Howl.

precenphix You need not know anything of the film, the story *or* the score from the film to enjoy this. Having heard enough of this artist’s work to know he’s putting heart and soul into his compositions, this one is the most melodic of his albums I have in my collection…which is only sure to grow with knockouts like this, ‘From the Tower’ and ‘Trinity.’ All excellent and stylistically different from album to album. He doesn’t get stuck in one place. Our man from Santa Fe is holding it down. 5/5 stars.

There are moments in life when the random stream of events, experiences, thoughts and feelings converge and illuminate a knot in your conscious and subconscious being.

An awakening, a resonance and an epiphany all at once. It is understandable to relate to these moments in a spiritual way, using religious words to describe it.

For me, this moment materialized when I first heard and deeply felt the sonic world of "Passion: Music for The Last Temptation of Christ"

I have never considered myself a fan of Peter Gabriel's music and still do not, save for the swathe around the inspiration, the research, the recording and the work of "Passion".

Capturing one's own "lighting in a bottle" is a forever challenge, so artists often borrow, copy or if they are lucky, they "steal" from others in the words of Picasso. I am not sure where I landed but the process of re-imagining, re-framing and re-working through the lens of Gabriel's Passion fueled the journey that became my "Passion Variations".

Rojinski's music is a blessing. Cinematic, dark and oppressive ambient is among the most potent methods to reduce nerviness for me, and I only know of two artists operating at this level. The intensity and inherent tension of e.g. Magnetic Poles Reversal unravels a knot, draining the internal tension. With every of his releases I know, Rojinski has broken new ground to basically forge a dystopian, augmented reality - allowing the listener to exit this troubled timeline for a while. Wonderous!
